Little Flower Mother and Child Clinic in Kasama records its first successful baby delivery since it was officially opened to the public on November 29, 2025.
Superior General of the Sisters of the Child Jesus (SCJ), Rev. Sr. Elizabeth Mutamba, said the health institution is happy to record the first baby delivered at the facility and appealed to the people of Kasama and beyond to visit the clinic and sample its services.
Sr. Elizabeth made the remarks when she presented a baby hamper to the parents of the newborn baby girl.
Meanwhile, mother of the newborn, Diana Chita, thanked health workers at the Catholic-run facility for the care provided to her and her baby.
Ms. Chita has advised expectant mothers within and outside Kasama to consider accessing services from the clinic.
And Clinic staff member Sr. Petronella Mutamba disclosed that the facility has set aside four baby hampers for the first four babies to be delivered at the clinic.
Sr. Petronella said the clinic offers maternal health services such as prenatal consultations, safe delivery and postnatal follow-ups, as well as general consultations at affordable fees.
She further described the clinic as a centre of health, hope, care and healing for the community.
Archbishop of Kasama, Ignatius Chama, officially opened the clinic on November 29, 2025.
